And that is good enough for many. But for best results a second pass with a regular razor should be made. By now that the hair is quite short only a small amount of shaving cream is necessary. This eliminates the clogging problem. And only one or a small number of passes over any one spot is needed. This minimizes skin irritation. The electric razor pass can, of course, be skipped. But this pass is also easy for a novice to do well. A regular razor can still do a fine job even if the electric razor pass is skipped but the cost is usually increased skin irritation. (more passes over the same spot are usually required to get the same super-smooth result.) Regular razors are also more likely to nick or pinch. This regular razor pass is the one that takes the most skill and care to perform well. But most of us manage it.
